In January, Team MRod worked with the City of Los Angeles Bureau of Street Services to complete a major asphalt resurfacing project in Stonehurst. After this project was completed, residents contacted my office regarding the concrete street conditions in Stonehurst. While concrete is an extremely durable material and lasts for decades without much maintenance, these streets are more expensive to repair. I am working to maximize the overall condition of these concrete streets by repairing the worst sections throughout the Stonehurst Historic Preservation Overlay Zone area.Earlier this month, the Bureau of Street Services (BSS) began repairing the worst sections of Stonehurst Ave. and Sheldon St. I happy to share this intersection is now complete! BSS expanded the thickness of the roadway — to withstand more weight and better preserve the condition of the street.
