From Assemblymember Luz Rivas Desk – Voted in Support of SB 1399 to Eliminate Piece-Rate Pay

There are approximately 45,000 garment workers in Los Angeles working more than 12 hours a day being paid $5.15 an hour. That is not a living wage! Yesterday, I voted in support of SB 1399 to eliminate piece-rate pay and ensure that our garment workers are fairly paid!
