As part of my broader effort to invest and deliver healthier, greener neighborhoods I partnered with Los Angeles Sanitation & Environment to plant 45 new trees on Foothill Blvd. between Hubbard and Astoria. The installation process consisted of removing concrete to create 31 new tree wells. Watering service has been secured for all 45 drought tolerant trees for the next three years.
Residents can request a free street tree by calling my Sylmar District Office at (818) 756-8409, Pacoima District Office at (818) 485-0600 or Sunland-Tujunga office at (818) 352-3287. Residents must be committed to watering the trees until established, approximately 3-5 years. All sites will be surveyed in advance to ensure eligibility.
