From Councilwoman Monica Rodriguez Desk – My Operation Bright S.P.O.T. Team

My Operation Bright S.P.O.T. Team

Since its launch in 2019, my Operation Bright S.P.O.T. team has been busy cleaning the major commercial corridors in our district. A recent clean up in Mission Hills on the Sepulveda Boulevard corridor, Chatsworth Street and Remick Avenue. We removed overgrown vegetation, cleaned up litter and graffiti, and power washed heavily trafficked sidewalks. Overgrown vegetation is not just an eyesore – when it blocks walkways, it creates a public safety hazard by forcing pedestrians off the sidewalk and onto the edge of the road.

In the next few weeks, the Operation Bright S.P.O.T fox is going to be busy cleaning up a commercial corridor near you. If you spot the fox in your neighborhood, snap a pic and share and tag us on Facebook @MonicaRodriguezCD7, Instagram @mrodcd7 or twitter @MRodCD7 with #spotthefoxcd7.

If you see a similar situation in your neighborhood, please do not hesitate to call my Sylmar District Office at (818) 756-8409, Pacoima District Office at (818) 485-0600 or Sunland-Tujunga office at (818) 352-3287. You can also report it directly to our city crews via 311. It’s free, easy, and can be done in three options:
-Dial 311 from your phone
-Report on their website, https://myla311.lacity.org/
-Download and use the “MyLA311” app from your smartphone.
