From Councilwoman Monica Rodriguez Desk – Los Angeles Homelessness Service Authority (LAHSA)

I’m pleased to announce that through our collective efforts with our city departments, the encampments located on Arroyo St. underneath the 210 freeway have been cleared of personal property and debris. Six individuals experiencing homelessness all received housing assistance through our partnership with the Los Angeles Homelessness Service Authority (LAHSA) which allowed the Los Angeles Department of Sanitation (LASAN) to clear and sanitize the area underneath the freeway.
I will continue to work with our City departments and law enforcement to ensure that our public rights of way are maintained and most importantly safe for our community to use.
