If you can’t pay your workers the minimum wage, you do 👏🏽 not 👏🏽 have 👏🏽 a 👏🏽 business. We’re so grateful to Assemblymember Luz Rivas for telling it like it is. Paying your workers the minimum wage is a requirement of doing business in California. “Businesses” that refuse to pay garment workers are not businesses, they are exploitative sweatshops. They are illegal, immoral, and have no place in our state. #SB62, the #GarmentWorkerProtectionAct, will hold big fashion brands accountable for the abuse that they enable in their supply chains and protect workers from abusive labor practices.
