Since taking office, I have worked closely with the City of Los Angeles Bureau of Street Services (BSS) to invest in neighborhood infrastructure. BSS applied a slurry seal and re-designed the crosswalk on Sayre Street between San Fernando Road and Ralston Avenue in Sylmar. Applying a slurry seal is a cost-effective, one-day technique that improves the existing street condition, adding another 5-7 years to the life expectancy of the asphalt. If you would like more information on whether your street is scheduled for resurfacing this year, please visit the Streets LA website at https://streetsla.lacity.org/ and select ‘Road Repair’.
