This year, through the California State Budget, I was able to secure $7.5 million to the City of San Fernando for the development for a Pacoima Wash Pedestrian Safety Bridge. This is a community driven effort in honor of Elias Rodriguez.
This vital state funding will help #AD39 begin to heal and prevent further tragedies such as this one from happening. This project provides a critical investment our community urgently needs.
Thank you to Mayor Mendoza and Councilmembers of City of San Fernando, Government for working with my team to get the funds needed to revitalize the Pacoima Wash.
Thank you to Fernandeno Tataviam Band of Mission Indians, Pacoima Beautiful, and TreePeople for your support on this project.
One final thank you to the family of Elias Rodriguez for joining us at today’s ceremony.
