In response to the rampant illegal street racing occurring in Los Angeles, I piloted legislation directing the Los Angeles Department of Transportation and the Los Angeles Police Department’s Street Racing Task Force to provide recommendations for traffic calming measures that can be implemented at locations in Council District 7.
The calming measures are already being installed; the first location can be found at the intersection of Glenoaks and Polk in Sylmar.
Two additional locations in Council District 7 will be selected, so stay tuned for updates!
