It is not often we have the opportunity to celebrate music and musicians that have a mission for positive empowerment, racial inclusivity, and unity in Council Chambers.
Dave Wakeling, vocalist and guitarist of English Beat, has been a Los Angeles resident for over 35 years. He has continued to keep The Beat alive and strong as he tours the world. Dave has shown appreciation for the City’s cutting-edge civic policy and he lives up to the ska music Two Tone ideal of tolerance and inclusion.
