I have always been committed to maintaining clean and walkable commercial corridors for residents and small businesses. It is why I created Operation Bright S.P.O.T (OBS) to focus additional resources that could respond more quickly to locations with discarded furniture, trash, and illegal dumping in our district.
A location in Pacoima on Osborne St. was identified as it had overgrown weeds, vegetation and trash. The OBS team removed the illegal dumping and it resulted in an area that is now fully accessible to pedestrians.
A second location in Sylmar on Sayre St. and Bromont Ave. was identified and OBS helped remove the overgrown vegetation and debris.
