California women face a significant wage and opportunity gap. That’s why on this Equal Pay Day, I am happy to share that DIY Girls from Pacoima has been granted a Women’s Recovery Response award from the California Commission on the Status of Women and Girls! This award is meant to invest in women’s recovery from the effects of the pandemic.
I started my gender equity work as the founder of DIY Girls many years ago in order to provide young girls with early exposure to STEM Careers.
Excited to see how this funding will empower the next generation of women STEM professionals in AD-39!
