As we commemorate Native American Day, it is important that we recognize that we cannot simply acknowledge our Native American population on celebrations or holidays, but we must follow through and support them 365 days.
This year, I was a proud co-author of #AB1314 by Assemblymember James Ramos’ Feather Alert. Our Native American population is experiencing a crisis as they grapple with missing indigenous people. We must make sure that those who are missing are reunited with their families.
