On Thursday, I had the immense pleasure of hosting the Council District 7 Principal Appreciation Luncheon once again.
At this annual event, over 40 principals and assistant principals were introduced (or re-introduced) to my entire staff and engaged in conversations around how we can collaborate to improve the safety and cleanliness in our neighborhoods, with special focus around our schools. This event has yielded great results over the years and helped me prioritize budget initiatives, like fighting for increased funding for crossing guards.
Also invited to join our luncheon was our local Senior Lead Officers, to ensure that they are building relationships with the principals and campuses in their areas necessary for our public safety.
Thank you to Hovsep Navasardyan, owner of Aurora Banquet Hall in Tujunga, for hosting us. These past couple of years have not been easy for small businesses, but Iām grateful for partners like Hovsep who generously open their doors to host our community for events like this.
