Sharing the following notice regarding a survey that is coming our way. As soon as the survey link arrives, we’ll post it here and distribute.
Dear Sunland-Tujunga Neighborhood Council Board members,
We are Masters in Public Policy students from USC’s Price School of Public Policy. It is our great pleasure to e-introduce ourselves!
As part of our Master’s Capstone project, our team is working in conjunction with the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) to assist in the creation of their Standards of Cover (SoC) report. This report is critical for LA communities as it helps inform LAFD as to where emergency resources are needed across the City of Los Angeles. For the first phase of the project, we have developed an electronic survey in order to collect community feedback to inform our report. We are distributing the survey next week to the entire LA neighborhood council system and would greatly appreciate your participation.
The survey is intended to (1) gauge public perception on LAFD’s performance (medical services, fire services, and community outreach) and (2) determine what resources your community needs to match LAFD capabilities. The data collected will provide insight into how the LAFD is meeting community expectations and help to develop strategic actions the LAFD can take to best serve your community.
We believe the LA neighborhood council system is the perfect group to provide the type of feedback LAFD needs to inform their SoC report. As members of neighborhood councils, you are some of the most engaged citizens and represent LA’s expansive and diverse communities. You and your council’s feedback is vital to inform LAFD on the necessary services your community needs most.
If you have any questions regarding the survey or the project itself, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Respectfully,
USC LAFD Practicum Team
