I am pleased to share the progress on the utility pole replacement project in Sunland. My office is working with the Department of Water and Power to replace outdated utility poles and modernize our Electric System Distribution infrastructure. These upgrades make our electric system more reliable and reduce the frequency and duration of outages. This project will also harden our system against wind and rain storms. In addition, the new system can better withstand fire as the new poles have superior fire retardant treatment.
