Last Council District 7 Youth Council Meeting

This month, we had our last Council District 7 Youth Council meeting. The Youth Council was formed this year, as part of my continued effort to provide programs that equip youth with the skills needed to achieve their full potential. Twenty-three youth joined, representing each neighborhood across the 7th Council District.

This is a ten-month program where youth will identify neighborhood issues and work as a team to develop strategies and solutions. At the end of the program, they will present their ideas to local policymakers. Envisioning youth in a meaningful, visible, and advisory role remains a driving force in my work to achieve greater equity and public safety outcomes that better our quality of life in our neighborhoods.

This month, we had our last

Congratulations to San Fernando Tiger Alex Padilla

Congratulations to my friend and fellow San Fernando Tiger Alex Padilla on your appointment to the United States Senate. It’s truly a historic moment for the State of California to welcome its first Latino U.S. Senator.

Thank you California Governor Newsom for understanding that REPRESENTATION MATTERS. Proud to serve a community we both treasure, as Councilmember in the 7th District where you commenced your political career. I’m also proud to continue the legacy of homegrown leadership for the constituents in the Northeast San Fernando Valley. May the nation now see what our community has long known – the amazing things that kids from the 91331 can achieve.

Congratulations to my friend and fellow

While outdoor dining is temporarily suspended, LADOT Official continues to process and approve applications to implement curbside and street closure dining operations for use as soon as restrictions are lifted. It’s available to all restaurants, permitted sidewalk food vendors, and food trucks in the City of Los Angeles.

Prioritize Removing Three Tree Stumps and One Dead Tree

I’m pleased to inform you that my office worked with the Urban Forestry Division (UFD) to prioritize removing three tree stumps and one dead tree on the 12800 block of Phillippi Avenue. Since I took office, I have worked proactively with the UFD to create innovative strategies to abate dead trees and stumps and beautify our parkways.

It takes all of us working together to ensure our community is well taken care of, and constituent requests are handled promptly. If you have any questions or concerns about this, COVID-19, or any other issue, please contact my Sylmar District Office at (818) 756-8409.

I’m pleased to inform you that
