From Assemblymember Luz Rivas Desk - Participated in the Activating Impacted Leaders Town Hall

Last week, I had the opportunity to participate in the Activating Impacted Leaders Town Hall coordinated by Initiate Justice. I had a chance to listen to impacted community leaders and learn of ways to improve our systems. These conversations are too important not to have and I was to very happy join and be part of this one!

Last week, I had the opportunity to

World Electric Vehicle Day

Today is “World Electric Vehicle Day” — a day to celebrate the global movement toward electric mobility and the transition to more sustainable transport. Thanks to our community partners—@envoythere, @LACIncubator, @HACLACA, and @PacoimaBeautiful—we’ve launched our first Electro-Share program in Pacoima.

Envoy vehicles are conveniently located next to the San Fernando Gardens Community Center and can be booked for minutes, hours, or days through the Envoy There app. Residents can “rent” a car for as low as $0.15 per min ($9/hr) and no need for gas or insurance. Vehicles are parked in dedicated parking spaces and free charging stations.

To help during the pandemic, Envoy is giving away 3 hours free to all Envoy members who need to shop for essentials: https://www.envoythere.com/getyouressentials
