Congratulations to 786 Degrees on being Assembly District 39’s 2022 Small Business of the Year!

786 Degrees Wood Fired Pizza Co. – Official takes pride in being a family-owned business! Ali Haider and his wife, Sayyeda Ali, opened 786 Degrees in #SunValley in 2014.
786 Degrees often participates in philanthropic events in support of our local community. They take part in the annual Masters of Taste outdoor food festival, which raises funds to benefit Union Station Homeless Services. They also provide a program with Masters of Taste that aims to develop culinary career and life skills for middle school and high school students.
I am honored to recognize 786 Degrees as #AD39’s Small Business of the Year.

I’ve taken a lot of important votes in Congress.

And I’m especially proud of voting for the Inflation Reduction Act.

It offers real solutions that will lower health care costs, curb inflation, and combat the climate crisis. In fact, it’s the single biggest effort to fight climate change. Ever.

And let me tell you, it felt pretty damn good to vote yes. I can’t wait for President Joe Biden to sign it into law.

Able to Reduce Speeds in many Neighborhoods in Our Community

With my continued collaboration with Assemblymember Laura Friedman and her success in passing AB 43, we were able to reduce speeds in many neighborhoods in our community and throughout the City of Los Angeles, replacing a total of 805 speed limit signs on 177 miles of city streets to establish lower speed limits. The passage of Assembly Bill 43, allowed cities to have greater authority in setting speed limits to best fit the community’s needs.
Slowing cars down substantially improves survivability in an accident. I want to thank the Department of Transportation for working with me to address the concerns in our area and reducing speed limits to improve safety for our pedestrians, equestrians, bicyclists, and motorists.

The table below represents the streets with the new speed limit signs in our community.
